Getting into Univeristy of Michigan?
Hi. I’m a 2010 high school graduate. I applied early response to University of Michigan. I was wondering if I have a chance to get accepted with 3.3 weighted (they don’t recalculate GPAs anymore), 26 ACT, varsity golf 9th through 12th grade, minority status (african-american), habitat for humanity, cancer club, youth action team, and aid for africa experiences. I also live out of state. So what do you think? Do I have a chance of getting accepted?
I am going to put this directly, no wasting time-
You have a ZERO percent chance of getting in. They wont even defer you for the regular round of applications, theyll probably just decline you altogether. Not to put you down, but those numbers arent even close to what they expect.
UofM looks for people with an act around 28, and a gpa over 3.7. Heres the stats-

85% who applied had a gpa over 3.6, with an average act of 28-32.
PS- not sure if you know what early admissions is, but they look for the very best during early admissions time. Thats the entire reason for it, to get those with the best applicant stats early before other schools take them.
I hope you have a backup plan in hand.
