Some people are nervous and excited when your dog is loose and does something that forces you to fix it. Because the owner is both anxious and excited, they move quickly toward the dog, fearing the dog may elapse before they can fix it. Freaked Out Over Dog Pinch Collar
Dear Adam:
I tried the pinch collar on my Westie few days ago and was frightened. Hated, did not move and gave a little scream as she was in pain. Now, I'm afraid to try again. Could be too sensitive for this necklace? It was too tight. After his initial reaction, he began to hide in near me. For the time I was with 2 teachers who teach a dog training club I joined. They recommended the ring for me. They said they used to. Any advice? Is there a way to alleviate this?

Yes … if you are dimensioned correctly, what happens here is you handle your dog. It is a tantrum and has responded to it and stopped.

Next time, tail strap to your belt and continue walking. Do not jerk. Do not say anything. Do not coax her or the baby. Knowing that we will not stop (can be a little more, now that you showed him stop), you realize that the tantrum is not rewarded and start walking. Once he does, praise him … But keep walking, as you do!
