How do I get in Vina del Mar, Chile to Uyuni, Bolivia to the Salt?
Looking for a cheap but fast option. Do not want to fly. Any suggestions?
From Vine I would take the bus to Santiago …. That's about $ 6. Then, from Santiago can be done by bus or plane. I went to San Pedro de Atacama, about a month ago and it was actually cheaper to reach by plane because http://www.lan.com/index-es-cl.html LAN has agreements sweet sometimes. We spent $ 120 on the flight and the bus would have cost about the same, but taken about 23 pm in both directions. From San Pedro you can take a walk 4 days at the salt flats. Large companies do not, not that bad cost wise. If you really do not want to fly, school transport, would be the only way …. miss a couple of days in transit time. For buses can be used or Pullman Bus TurBus http://www.turbus.cl/commerce/inicio.jsp www.pullman.cl or other companies small. There are offices for all these companies outside of Metro Line 1 (red line) station of the University of Santiago, in downtown Santiago. Form that can help to get to Bolivia if not, I want to go to San Pedro De Atacama. Hope it helps and good luck!
