I'm getting an Xbox 360 Elite which is a cheap way to get online wirelessly?
Is there a cheap but good wireless router that can used to play online with the 360? "I get a 360 Elite in the 29th and finally I want to get it connected to Xbox Live and I do not feel like going through an Ethernet cable my house. I have cable, but what sometimes suddenlink forsake me. I have the Nyko old network extender to my ps2, but I do not think that works for 360 right?
Hello, ignore the first response to this kind do not know what you're talking about. I have a 360 that is wireless and I'm not using the official adapter. Purchase of the elite, if you want, but it will be fine with the Xbox Premium with 20GB hard drive. Do not buy just the core system, which does not come with a wireless controller is excellent. I have a 54Mbps Netgear DG834G router which worked very well with the old Xbox and also with the 360. Instead of using the wireless adapter at a price fixed by Microsoft ridiuclous I use an adapter from Belkin F5D7330 Wireless G game. The adapter took a bit to configure, but if you look at some of my answers here I might help your installation. I have no problem of delay in moving, but just remember to always be in a smaller fraction when wireless, but only a fraction. My son is exceptionally good at Halo 2, and has used my old xbox wireless and still easily won the round. I bought my Netgear router through reading reviewcentre.com customer feedback that came later. It cost me £ 35 on eBay. This is a modem router and can be used on any ADSL line. Also has a version 125mps fastest known as the DG834GT but not necessary that the speed of play. The wireless adapter also came back off eBay and it cost me £ 25. I recommend two articles, but Netgear is definitely better than belkni as easier to configure. Hope this helps and I hope to see you on Xbox Live. My gamertag is Smartguy 1
