When should i apply for certain good golf colleges?
I will be going into high school next year and i want to go to college where its warmer like miami or somewhere in florida and is a division I college. I usually get about 3.8 or 4.0 and look to do so throughout high school. I play golf and look to try to play college golf for one of these schools. What year and when should i apply for these colleges in high school? Also if i wanted to go to a college like florida or miami or florida state what kind of grades should i have to get and what should i have to shoot in golf to be able to play at these colleges? Also what is some good division 1 or 2 golf colleges that are realistic to apply for and when should i do it?
Start contacting them now. The earlier the better. You will also want to get the Ping Golf Guide (Link Below). It takes you through all of the steps of the process of playing college golf.
You will need to play well. I would aim for around par or under. Also play in as many junior events you can. College coaches watch these as well as your score. Keep track of your scores and stats like Greens in Regulation, Fairways hit, # of Putts, Up and Down %.
