Do the Federal Reserve forecasts actually affect the economy?
Gloomy Federal Reserve forecast: probably makes things worse. Why do they even do that? I’m sure if they had come out and predicted things were going to improve quickly, this recession would be over by June. Why do we even have a Federal Reserve? The Constitution does not provide for this. It should be done away with. Let the banks do what they do and this will all settle out. The responsible banks will thrive and buy up the irresponsible banks when they go out. This whole thing will get better fast if the government stays out of it and lets the free enterprise system handle everything. No more bailouts or “stimulus” pork barrel waste of taxpayers money for things like golf carts, dog parks, and climate “research”. Get back to Constitutional government.
