following my dream, but dad is in the way >:(?
Basically, I have started Graffiti (the proper artwork on canvas not walls) and am in the middle of filling out a application form for a grant from the council thing to go and learn proper graffiti,
I asked my dad to lend me £30.00 for the equipment i need e.g spray paints, caps etc
He said “can you earn money from it” so i said well not from the first off no, so his reply to that was ” im not giving you the money for a load of shit” he said why am i doing it if i d ont get money so i said that its a hobby and its my dream, but my argument is he plays golf for a hobby and doesnt eran money out of it, so why cant i graffiti?!
he just rekons its stupid, i dont know what to do, i have no way of earinig it even if i did he would still stop me from doing it, please help, and sory if its abit long :S

When I was entering my last year of high school and was applying for college, my dad mentioned that he’d like to see me go to the local community college, take typing classes, etc. and become a secretary. I told him that I wanted to go to a four year private college and take Latin. He exclaimed, “Latin?!?!?! You can’t do anything with Latin!!! I’m not paying for that!!!”
I simply replied, “Well Dad, I never asked you to.” And I went out and got three jobs and paid for my own college. Not that I ever did anything with the Latin – HAHAHAHAHAHA but I was able to get a job anyway with the four year degree.
You say you have no way of earning 30 pounds – you absolutely sure of that??? No babysitting, no fast food restaurants, no hemming work, no grass mowing, no delivery services, no nuthin’ in your area?
If this is truly your dream, you may have to delay it, but don’t give up on it just because of a temporary situation (your dad and 30 pounds). Good luck to you.
