How do you react to physical illness and pain?
Hypochondriac, brave soldier or in between?
Have you ever broken/fractured any bones in your body or suffered any serious injuries?
I’ll probably fall under hypochondriac, even once fainting on a golf course after observing blood on my hands from a torn finger (only my own blood will cause this, I’d have have no problem watching someone else bleed), 8 years later and I’m still taking abuse from my buddies about that incident.
Crystal/Lise – Yes, I guess men are “sissies” at heart. I’m not that pathetic though, other than with the sight of blood, I have broken each of my thumbs 3 times, my pinky finger twice, my big toe on my right foot twice and had a neck injury playing rugby so I’m no stranger to pain.
Don’t worry, Bull, being a hypochondriac is regarded as ‘a man-thing’ and since you are male, you are no exception. Strangely enough, so is the result of fainting from the sight of blood. During my time working in hospitals, more men faint when their wives give birth (usually when the doctor turns around to inform the proud father of the arrival, he finds them lying on the floor, out cold), also when they donate blood, when they see someone else bleeding and even when they are given an injection. As for being the worst patients during sickness…well you’ve guessed it, men top the charts. It just has to be a man-thing, do you agree? Ha ha!
