Club Next after irons?
I'm getting back into golf. I'm not a big super-beginner however. I have a good deal on some plates and consist of hybrid 3 and 4-PW. I'm starting some lessons and a friend was a college player. Both said concentrate on the table for now (getting the swing down), but start thinking about the club until close. I've heard people say 2 hybrids and others say 3 of timber the whole way. I'm not asking to open a debate hybrids vs wood. For a quasi-beginner like me, you (usually) do you recommend? The 3 hybrids has a loft of 20 degrees. 3 Woods'm seeing today seem more difficult to fit off grass for beginners. I will not even touch a driver for a while, so I just need a step up from a 3 to hyrbid I hit off the tee and play in streets and rough. Thank you!
A 5 wood is more or less the attic of his own hybrid 3. That would be a waste. Go ahead and get a 3-wood and work on his swing. In fact, the club side would you suggest buying another wedge. You will drop a lot more shots around the green with their long sticks, so put a sand wedge in his bag and learn to chip and pitch with what is really going to do your good play.
