Golf clubs set question?
So far, I have a driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, iron set (2-pw), putter. Now my question is, do I have enough clubs for 18 holes of golf? Also, do I need a sand wedge or would a pitching wedge be fine? Thanks, I’m new to golf.

There are many approach tactics to this game…if you are just starting out, how & what you play with now will change as your game improves…
To stay within the rules of golf…14 is the max that is in your bag during your round.
This doesn’t mean that you have to have 14…so, let look at another approach…
Lets say of all the irons in your bag, you seem to connect & have a fondness for the 7 or 8 iron lets say…this gets you in the air, and ya seem to get the most our of your distance (at this time) stay with it I say…forget the 5i, 4i, 3i & 2i if the 7 or 8 iron gets you down the fairway with the fewest strokes…let this be your go to iron for your round…if you hit the 5 wood better than the 3w…set aside the 3 wood for the range and stick with the 5 wood…
The whole concept is for you to find the right club that reaps the best results, and master them…you will find yourself hitting on a more consistant basis.
When the time is right…and you want to venture onto other irons, by all means do so…but, in the meantime…your iron play when it comes to irons is your go to iron, & fairway wood.
When you get close to the green when you know that your 7, 8, 9 or even PW is too much distance, then you need to find that one wedge that you can count on to just get it on the green in a short distance…
A 56* wedge would work fine…for the sand bunker, chipping or a short shot over a bunker…let this wedge be your friend as you get closer to the green.
In my perspective, it is better to be good with 4 clubs than so so with all of the gear in your bag (for now).
