Cyst on left side of right wrist is starting to hurt. What to do?! TT.TT?
I’ve had this cyst for almost 6 years, but now its starting to bother me. Its also starting to hurt my thumb area! Everytime I rotate/move my thumb around it hurts and it kinda cracks. When I slightly squeeze my right fingers all together, it hurts. When I swing a golf club, it hurts.
I read treatment methods and wikipedia said to strike the cyst with a large book, but I think this will break my wrist. Is there any other treatment methods? I haven’t put bengay on it because I don’t think it will help. Will pain killers like advil, tylenol help? Should I go to my doctor and get it checked? Last time I got accupuncture the doctor said that if I massage it constantly it will disappear but, I don’t think so because the cyst is pretty hard (almost feels like a bone haha).

I think you should go to a doctor and get it checked out. Painkillers will block the pain but they won’t heal the cyst and I doubt you’d find a doctor to prescribe painkillers for the rest of your life for this. You probably shouldn’t slam a book on your wrist. It doesn’t sound like a procedure a doctor would perform. I hope that helps.
