-hundreds of hours of community service
-mentoring program leader at highschool
-predicted 2000+ on SAT based on practice test scores
-lifetime member of california scholarship foundation
-2 years of volunteering during the summer at a camp for mentally/physically handicapped adults
-founder of a community to spread awareness about teen driving and the dangers of texting
-creator of a new chapter of big brothers and sisters at my highschool
-etc.
i know the standards for UCLA are high but am looking for any advice for how to stand out on college application.
-i have taken 9 honors classes and 3 ap classes with more to come senior year.
-passed sophomore year WHAP test
-750 on freshman year biology subject test
-within top 5% of class
although UCLA is a very exclusive school, i’d say you have a decent shot.
