A few science and social science questions?
1) If a new species was put in another species habitat, would it cause an increase in both populations, and increase in producers, or competition for food?
2) Would rubbing sandpaper on a board or bending light through a prism cause the greatest increase in temperature?
3) Does an object’s kinetic energy depend on it’s mass? If so, would a bowling ball or a golf ball have the most kinetic energy?
4) Was the purpose of the constitution to limit the government’s power or to improve economic quality?
5) If there was dictatorship in a kingdom would there be no military, court system, legislature or free press?
1. Definitely competition for food assuming common diet, not necessarily the other two.
2. Sandpaper on a board, due to friction, prism only defracts light.
3. Yes, but not entirely. Given same conditions, the bowling ball would have more.
4. The purpose? Probably both. The result? Neither.
5. Dictatorships usually have all of these to varying degrees, depending on the dictator himself. There is the military to keep the dictator in power, court system to enforce his rules (there is no way any dictator would waste his time being judge and jury for every dispute), legislature (controlled representation in most cases), and somewhat free press, although the last is less common.

8 Board Golf Swing Trainer $119.95 “8 Board — Includes Instructional DVD In a sport where the swing is everything, there is little room for error or improper form and the 8board is the lion in the swing kingdom. As the pros themselves have told us, the 8board teaches proper stance, proper rotation, and proper balance in relation to the complete swing: backswing to follow-through. Your stroke can become smoother as the 8board trains you to use your entire body properly to complete the swing. Not only does the device give you the feeling of being grounded, but it incites muscle memory and protects the back and trunk from the strain of improper rotation when pivoting. When you are grounded or rooted for the swing and you are coiling properly from your center, you lessen the chances of enervating your own power. With practice, this type of calculated movement becomes automatic and perfunctory to your swing, guaranteeing precision at each attempt. With the 8board program an athlete can train their entire body to move symmetrically with pristine balance. This way, the club is not a separate fixture to your swing, but acts instead as an appendage that moves in a natural order when your center (hips and trunk) are generating power at their best. You can take strokes off your game with such symmetry in movement as it translates into your swing. Now and forever, the 8 way is the only way to play. On Golf $3.98 “A striking meditation that stylishly links his father, Arnold Palmer, Golf in the Kingdom, and the fragility of the swing.”—Sports Illustrated Since being initiated as a child into the arcane mysteries of the game of golf, Timothy O’Grady has carried in his mind an obsession with the sport—embracing its history, literature, and even his own private battle with the club. On Golf is a personal history of O’Grady’s obsession with golf, from its domination of his teenage years, to the glorious occasion when he played a round with Arnold Palmer. Above all, it was the bond of golf that he shared with his father, who gave him his first club when he was only two years old. Forty years later as the old man lay on his deathbed; father and son were still talking about the game.Timothy O’Grady still dreams that he may one day become a truly fine player but in the meantime he has given us a book that beautifully describes his love affair with the game and goes to the root of the obsession that captivates so many. |
