Not difficult to determine my cheating golf-mate’s major in school…Business…you think?
I play golf for a local community college in So. Cal.
We have to qualify every week, to be in the next weeks match. We shoot between 72-80, depending on course, conditions, etc.
My “golf-mate” who can’t seem to add his golf score properly(we have to keep the other persons score). Several times I have had to correct him on what he has told me was his score for the hole(such as hitting OB…”actually that was a 7, not a 5″. Hitting twice into the water, then into the trap, then a 3 putt(on a par 5)…”actually that was a 10, not a six”
So do I have ESP(NO!) when I figure that this guy who can’t keep his integrity on the golf course is a cheat, and probably will be running some major corporation in 5-10 years? Seems like fudging numbers is a very desirable trait for our business “leaders”.
Or was it just a logical deduction that he was a business major?
Nope, your deduction is incorrect. In all walks of life, from Custodian to Prime Minister, you’ll find people of integrity as well as cheats and liars. It’s not the job that’s at fault, it’s the person.
