What the hurricane is affecting the Gulf of Mexico?
I'm moving to New Orleans in August and need to know that a hurricane is expected or hurricanes and I have to relocate for a few weeks? I've never had a hurricane, except in Virginia and all we had were the storms and our backyard flooded. Is and will be in Louisiana?

New Orleans was devastated ago two years by Hurricane Katrina, which was much worse than some storms and a flooded yard. A wide range of effects, any of which may be experienced in any area that is susceptible to hurricanes, so always be prepared for the worst.
