Former golfer recent televised tournament?
I saw the golf tournament the other day and I think it was an international tournament, because this type has 58 or fewer participants, saw the last day and I had to go to my dismay, when he was finishing holes two or three, was a tournament in Ireland, I think (possibly Scotland?) And I think it was two weeks ago. This is probably the only tournament I've seen, but I really wanted to win (he was going to break / tie some records and I wanted view). I do not know no names, so I'm hoping someone can help me. What was his name? How was it?
Tom Watson, who won the Open Championship five times in the 70's and 80's was to try to win again at 59. He missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole of the last day that they have earned the tournament. Thus, he was forced into a four-hole aggregate score play-off, where he lost badly.
