how do golf organizers classify players from class A to C?
i was just wondering, how do golf tournament organizers classify players from Class A, B and C?
Players are classified according to their respective handicaps. The top third of the field with the lowest handicaps are “A” players the next third becomes “B” and the third with the highest handicaps would be “C”. These classifications are most often referred to as flights and the cut-offs are sometimes pre determined such as Handicap 0-10 “A” flight 11-20 “B” flight and 21-over “C” flight. The classifications make it possible to have a fair competition for players of all levels.
