golf pride grips reviews

If I’m going to regrip my clubs, how do I know what size…?

I am swinging some old school Ping Zing irons which I absolutely love. Stiff, steel and heavy. The Golf Pride Tour Wraps are getting a bit old however and starting to crack. How do I know whether to purchase (off of eBay of course) the .58 or .60 size grips? I can’t find any markings on the shaft or current grips.

Thank you.

BTW, of course I could ask a pro. But if I could save the trip in the rain and award you 10 points…why not?

Thanks again my friends.

P.S.

A guy I work with swears by Griptec but it sounds like he just likes them bc he didn’t have to use any solvent or tape. Any reviews?

@ thumbs you’re not looking to do something you can’t handle and you can look to Golfsmith to supply you with a grip kit which includes everything you need for installation. The .580 and.600 refers to the size of the butt end of your club and your pings will require a .600 grip size. If you wear a size small or medium glove go without building up the grip. Medium large you might consider one layer of masking tape.
Size large go with one layer of masking tape for sure and if X-large is your size you’ll want 2 layers of masking tape. The masking tape layers are in addition to the grip tape you’ll use. Don’t be tempted to build your grips up too much because the trade off for feel just isn’t worth it. I have been using Golfsmith’s version of the half cord and find them to be the equal of any of the other grips out there. Good luck with your project and I hope this helps.
