Advice on a driver? TaylorMade r7 Draw vs. Nickent 3DX (square head)?
I'm building a set and have a gift cert. to a pro shop chain. To obtain a driver and 3 wood without spending too much ($ 250 – $ 300). I just play 2 to 3 times per year and not feel the need to spend to get tour-level things. Anyway, I have a big bite and it was suggested Nickent 3DX (back corner weighted) or the Taylormade R7 draw. Does anyone (who knows what they're talking about) have any experience with these clubs, or knowledge about what was best for me? I do not know if I can fully trust a young boy in a store in the chain (which has led me to the top clubs more expensive in the store) who just wants to make a sale. Buuying'm going to be something there, though, b / c of the gift certificate. Any suggestions? I have no problem with the clubs to use – I'm not planning to go on tour – they just want a little fun every few months. (The need for a putter, too)
I was going to buy Nike and Sausquatch spoke at the Nickent place, also was less expensive and I hit better than Nike. Best bet is to see how it feels. Go to the store and buy one and then put the protective tape on it and see how you feel on the range. Enjoy clude new and treat others. Some of the golf shops may even club have demo for you to try.
