Sorority+college?
Hi! I am a very ambitious student in high school, and I was considering joining a sorority in college. However, I am worried that I will not have time to study and pursue my Golf obsession and Biochemical engineering major. Does anyone know which sorority I shoud join? I am not really the “party girl” type. I’m captain of the Varsity Science Team and the Math team. Is there a non-crazy, academic, community-service sorority for girls like me? You know, for CLEAR HEADED women? Thanks for the advice! <3
You need to evaluate the options at the college you choose to attend. Even with national organizations, the “personality” of the group can vary from campus to campus.
Investigate all of your options on campus. It sounds like you’d be a wonderful asset to any group. Keep your grades up too – not only will it be in your best interest academically, but it will also increase your odds of joining the group you want. All national sororities (and I suspect most locals) have minimum GPA requirements for joining…and being well above those minimums will help you even more!
Also, most national sororities have scholarships available to their members, so the better your academic qualifications are the more scholarship options you’ll have available to you also.
