What is a very good golf course in San Diego with reasonable green fees?
I get a tee time in July, so if it's super exclusive please let me know!
Here are some for you … as far as going green fees reasonable but there really is not any in San Diego, so … of the most accessible of the best experiences, here is … (with websites below) 1. Oceanside Muni – (Oceanside) Super Muni cheap, it will not more than $ 30, but the condition of the course and the crowds certainly capture rates, but what "is" go, that's all. 2. Balboa Park GC – Downtown SD, green fees reasonable and fun to play. It's a muni though. 3. Arrowood GC – In the back of Camp Pendleton, not super cheap, but not too expensive at about $ 60 a round. A fun track with a good wind blowing from the West at all times. Ted Robinson designed layout. This is in the northern San Diego County, but well worth the trip. 4. Crossings Carlsbad – (Carlsbad) This is not even open yet (opening Summer 07), but it seems very difficult and well designed, if not a little on the short side. They must be open for play in July … rumor that the rates will be $ 50-70. 5. Encinitas Ranch – A nice open course with a beautiful view of the Ocean Pacific, very funny and not too demanding on green fees around $ 80. One of my personal favorites. 6.Torrey Pines – U.S. Open site 2008 and a track really great to play. You will spend $ 100 per person at least here, so do not know if that is what is considered reasonable, but at least you and your friends they can always tell who played a U.S. place Open … 7. Four Seasons Aviara Resort – Top notch and top dollar, very demanding and absolutely flawless all year round … you'll never forget this round. 6. Timber – Hands down the best golf course in San Diego, designed by Johnny Miller, is not cheap, but an incredible theme … 600 yards par 5 closing hole. Hope this helps Happy Golf!
