In the fight against plastic stretch good old wood. Does the path of the ball or something? Why spending money on the 'friendly face' when there is more cheap wooden tees?
No, it makes a difference. Except maybe the shirts that have been built at a standstill for the same tee height every time … if that's what you think is best. Personally, I tee times at high and sometimes low.
