How can I improve my disc golf game?

I got a new disc today I got an Orc and I have having some issues getting a long and accurate drive with it. What types of tips would you have to help me improve my distance and accuracy of my drives.

The Orc might be a little too much disc for you right now. I would suggest going trying out a Beast. It is a very similar disc but should go much farther and straighter for you right now.

Another about trying to get good distance and accuracy is keep your throw slow and smooth. If you are trying to kill it every time you throw you are most likely going to loose distance as well as hurt your arm. I guarantee you will be surprised at the results of a slow smooth throw over a fast hard throw.
Also you want to work on your snap. I have found the best way to develop a better snap is to do some stand still throws.
