Is it unfair of me?
My boyfriend wants to be with me 24 / 7 and I'm the kind of person who needs my space sometimes. He says he has problems with because she never had a girlfriend who had requested or space. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time, I spend time with 1 or 2 friends here and there, a dinner and a drink (never more than 2) and go home (not past 11). All my friends are men. I get along better with men than women, and every time I try to make friends girl is exhausted. We just do not have the power! Is it unfair of me to make some "me" time with him? It feels like I'm ditching it, but I always let him know of advance and check it when im out and let him know what im doing. Any advice to help cope?
Unless you can find a couple of women they love to play golf, so that two can be equal, yes, you're wrong. Do you expect to spend time in bars with a man who is "just a good friend" after you married? Continue to work on finding a girlfriend, or limit his drinking companions to men aged 85 years or be willing to break.
