I am 16 years old am i good enough to become a Golf Tour Professional?
I am 16 years old and my handicap is 9, my average score round 18 holes is 75 on a par 70 course. i drive a ball on average 260 – 300 yard. I’m at my last year at school and i am wondering if a can make a living with golf. I play almost everyday and I’m a very determined person. What should i do!
To be honest, you’ve got a lot of work to do. The difference between 9 h’cap and scratch is massive, and most tour pros were scratch or very close by their late teens.
Even at county level, the under-18s championships will have a handicap limit of about 4, and there is (or was last year) a 13-year-old from Wales with a handicap of 2.

It’s not impossible, but you’ll have to work really hard and hope you develop physically too if you want to cut it as a tour pro. Only the very best make it.
