What degree of loft is a normal sand wedge?
I need a new sand wedge after I was using broke down between the shaft and the clubhead. Having looked into the golf store websites and insted of saying things like "Sand Wedge" or "Loft wedge is 60 degrees, 66 degrees loft, etc … What degree of loft is the normal sand wedge?
In general the 'normal' range for a sand wedge is 54-56 degrees of loft. I a 55 degree, but I'm sure that are so common. That does not mean each wedge of 54 degrees (for example) is ideal for lying sand, to be a decent sand wedge club does not need a rebound just over the wedge of a "standard" (bounce is the angle between the trailing edge of the plant below the leading edge, and a sand wedge that can be 18 degrees instead of a normal wedge with 8-14 degrees). Therefore, where the club is advertising for the store name just a loft, please check the rebound angle to ensure you are getting something that will be useful from the bunker.
