Has anyone used one of SkyCaddie GPS's? What do you think of them?
If you have money, I'd say Add to the bag. I about 4 or 5 times a day with a rangefinder. The biggest advantage for me is to know the size of the green in front and behind the flag. The problem is, you need a rangefinder to get the yardage to the understanding of the pavilion. The last time I decided not to use anything. I markers and sprinklers as I estimated the distance of the flag. Less irritable, and more golf – and it was nice to play that way. But I got a good idea of what I prefer rangefinder – or GPS, and prefer to use a GPS to find the edge of water, bunkers and greens. Knowing the center of the green and adjusting for the position of the flag is not as hard as I thought. Knowing that I have a space behind the flag for air and sea transport is too risky to go on tour with a red flag is more important than the exact distance for me. I can survive in the GPS or rangefinder or sprinkler. If I had to choose … GPS for me!
