How to enter golf tournaments in Southern California?
I live in the area and was wondering how to find and participate in golf tournaments for Juniors? I am 15 years old, freshman in my high school varsity golf. My goal is to play a college golf day. To achieve this goal I need to play tournaments. How can I do that. I heard something about Junior program were recorded and get a membership and get to play the tournaments they want. I a average of 45 per 9 holes. Ime improving day by day, and practicing hard every day. This year I just want to play tournaments to gain experience. Any suggestions, advice, or any other form of assistance would be appreciated.
Besides the Junior Association, contact the local State Golf Association for youth tournament schedule, qualifying sites and entry requirements. Each state has its own rules. In our state, few junior events. The Championship classification has state of the section that determine who will be a participant to qualify. No 18-hole play in the under 32 go to a match play format for determining the eventual champion.
