Should not some of the richest in the world?
I do not understand how people complain they need more teachers, soldiers, firefighters and police, but are not willing to pay well. I know this was brought to a million times. but why is it that Tiger Woods may be 88 billion dollars only for winning a golf tournament stupid (waste of land in my opinion). and why is that basketball players can make a million dollars an hour, just throw the ball in a hoop? (I know I'm exaggerating). we've all been around teachers almost half of our life and we see clearly how difficult it can be for them. wouldnt want to pay more to teach kids who like punk disrupt the class and talk again? then you have soldiers who risk their lives to protect their country, but then, when not needed anymore, the government abandoned. Anybody that this must be reversed
I graduated from college in December with a degree of education, and I'm flattered that you understand that teachers are underpaid individuals. However, do not know anybody who enters the field of education waiting to be a millionaire. I think if more teachers were paid, students would learn less. More people would go to college as prospective teachers, simply for pay. You must love children to be a teacher, not by money. If education is done for the money, the students will suffer. For athletes: fans will see specific teams or athletes. All this revenue goes into their pockets. Nobody is willing to pay money to go to see a specific teacher, soldier, fireman, or policeman, after all .. services not "free"?
