I am a lady (50's) thinking about taking up golf. What clubs are best for a beginner in a good quality and price?
I would suggest you have a golf friend find half decent game or a full set of clubs on eBay at a reasonable price. You could try the approach of garage sale too, if you in such things. For a beginner, it's really all about "if you will like the sport enough to invest in really good team later on." To get At that point, you need to get a higher opening set and go blow across the driving range and golf a few times. If, after that, you're still interested in the game, you can dump the old beater clubs and get a better set … and you really have not lost their investment (cause really was not much more than one). You should be able to find some clubs and a bag on eBay for about $ 50. Btw … there are plenty of 50 + guys out there who would love to give lessons!
