What goal should I get for my Canon XS for portraits?
I get the Canon EF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6 USM III Lens Lens for only $ 50 my additional purchase of the XS. Or I can get the Canon 50mm EF F/1.8 II Standard Auto Focus Lens for $ 90. Again, my main area of distribution portraits landscapes, and perhaps some sport. Thanks, Liz.
Hi, the 50mm f/1.8 is a great lens for portraits, and could be very good for landscapes, provided that is close or distant. Probably not much for sports unless you are able to obtain the right to close (within 15 feet) into action. A 75-300mm will help in terms of candid shots or shots where they are far from the theme … and portraits are close-ups. Would also be nice for outdoor sunlight bright. For landscapes, usually want a lens of 10 to 50 mm. This is a wide angle lens that allows you to capture more of a scene in one shot. Especially useful if you're trying to pull the buildings in urban areas where you can not just backup to get the vaccine. Pictures, you will want lenses from 50mm to 135mm. For the sport, anywhere between 75 – 300 mm. If indoor sports are maybe 75-200 will do, but you need a faster lens because there is not much light inside and it will be too far away to use a flash. A fast is a lens with a smaller number f-stop (aperture). This number represents how big the hole is in the lens to let light through. The larger the hole, the faster you can set the shutter speed. The smaller the f-stop number, the larger the hole. For sports, you should be f / 4 or more (f/2.8 is ideal). These lenses can cost more than $ 1000 each. Good luck!
