It really varies. Most of the time (today), is seen with the first letter after Mc or Mac with capital letters. And this seems to be the convention used for a long time. But it is only convention. If the prefix "Mc, then always close to finding the next letter capitalized. Due to the combination of letters "TM" does not allow it "fit" into one word. However, "Mac" can easily fall into the following letters in a word – the example given above "Macgregor" is perfect. But "McGregor" did not work. But the convention.
