It is true that we are all hypnotized to some extent. We can become conditioned to react a certain way and stick to the old beliefs about the world, other and ourselves that are no longer useful or helpful. Some people worry that can not be hypnotized, when in fact they have hypnotized themselves. For example, you might have convinced themselves that are "bad", not "good enough" of little value and have low self esteem. As a therapist my job is often to hypnotize people of its restrictions on visits and beliefs, so they can better adapt to the changing reality in their lives.
In this article I have included some reflections on updating the maps of reality. At times we are all in a self-imposed trance and the need to awaken to reality.
Updated Reality
Our view of reality is shaped by our experiences. We formed an internal map with which to navigate through the world. If our map is accurate, we know where we are and how to get where we want to go. The closer our map is to the truth of reality, the best of our vision to see obstacles and navigate around them. As you change the reality that we must update and revise our maps and this requires effort and work. Not only the world that around us changes, but also our place in it. Sometimes we can be healthy and at other times ill, or rich and powerful or poor and vulnerable. Some people may stop adding his map after adolescence, many will leave in middle age. People who have left to add to your maps continue to believe that their map is accurate and therefore their world view is fixed and dogmatic, they are no longer interested in updating new information. His vision of reality is tired, tired, outdated and unproductive. Consequently, life becomes more difficult and frustrating. For those of you in the UK who have seen the TV show Grumpy Old Men / Women "this is an example of people desperately clinging to outdated maps and increasingly frustrated with a changing world.
Updating our maps around new data and sometimes sudden can be a painful process. To avoid this pain we can ignore the new reality or rebel against it. We can try to change reality and shape it on our maps outdated. We may transfer our maps that helped us survive childhood into adulthood, where they are no longer appropriate.
Change and avoids when reality is painful. Stress can be defined as the change and the fear of change. The review of our maps, seek truth and reality takes courage. Departing of illusion and suffering discomfort is vital to our survival, therefore we must learn to accept pain, to find and keep the reality and truth. This applies individuals and organizations.
Hypnotherapy and rational thought are effective tools to challenge and refresh their thinking and beliefs so as to be adaptable and "get to where you want to go" You can learn to use your creative subconscious to guide you toward your goals. You can update your self-image and build their confidence and self esteem.
