I try to repair the '99 VW Golf radiatior upper hose, is there a website or online instructions?
I wonder how do it by myself.
INSTUCTIONS are differnt depending on the engine you have. You can buy a manual at your local bookstore or auto parts store. 2.0 1.8T VR6 General instructions are the same. Buy the hose and cooling. Make sure you get the G12 coolant correct as they do not mix with other refrigerants. Use the hose again, find the old hose in the car. You may have to eliminate some of the engine covers to get there. These covers plastic are held by screws a quarter turn. Turn counter clockwise while gently pulling on the plastic cover. Be careful not to pull too hard as you can lose a screw. Hoses are usually held by hose clamps. These are the metal straps that are tightened by a screw. VW can have a clamp hose usage time on it. These are the metal straps that fasten closed and must be cut. If you have a one-time use clamps in that country. Leave them in and get the replacement from the place of reusable parts. Before removing the old hose, make sure your engine is cold, coolant hot can burn. Remove the two clamps (one on the side of the engine, a radiator on the side). If you have a one-time use clamps, you will have to break them. Use a pair of tight pliars and turn the hand, while twisting underneath with a flat screwdriver. Make a not of how far the hose is inserted into the engine and radiator. Pull the pipe side of the engine and radiator. You may lose some coolant. Make sure nothing is achieved in the radiator or engine, while the hose is off. Put the new (or old, if reusable) hose clamps for loose again that they are not too near the ends of the hose. Push the hose back as far as age hose was. The clamps position and turn the tightening screw until tight. VW has a closed cooling system, so do not add liquid radiator coolant itself is added to the refrigerant resevior (shereical white container near the passenger side of the car. Depending on the amount of refrigerant lost when the hose is removed old, you may or may not have to add coolant. if you have to add coolant, they do after running the engine a few minutes and allow to cool back down again. Run the engine coolant to move the entire system. Good luck
