Sorry for the question of travel in this category but called twice in the travel section and got no response. Come on over there and we're thinking about cycling through it, then overnight. Someone once told me that is very dangerous riding a bike on the same route by looky bathing tourists in cars. Can we rent bikes there? knowledge area will be appreciated. especially good places to stay? Thank you.
Others have good information about one of the most beautiful drives California. I read your profile and notice you are a writer. Have you been to the Jack London State Historic Park? It's in Glen Ellen and worth the trip to Sonoma and the Valley of the Moon visit. The ruins of Wolf House, he built with his wife are there. They never lived in the house, because just after the building burned stone completed. I know you will enjoy 17-mile drive. It's worth the effort, however you choose to travel.
