Four decades of being in a leadership position here is my big discovery
I could write a book and do my best to be brief and precise. I suppose many of you think that this man must be very old. I was in a leadership position since he was captain of the team football and baseball as a kid, but the real challenge in 1970.
I have served with some of the greatest people of this nation produced from President until my platoon leader in Vietnam. There are thousands of people in the interval and has been an extraordinary journey. I am not suggesting that mean he has to work with the little people to learn the golden rule of leadership.
Leadership is an art to influence and achieve consistently excellent results in favorable conditions Similar or unfavorable. This is a difficult task under normal circumstances and even more difficult when there are unexpected circumstances. A good leader can not survive in these conditions, but it takes a great leader to stay the course and keep the respect of the team.
An example: Your company's industry-leading Local and things were great. Suddenly, there is a new business on the block and ensure they will meet and exceed the price of your company and services. The pressure was rejected by her company and the district leadership to retain customers and their loyalty. This is a difficult requirement, but can be achieved and even exceeded.
OK, how? Now I will share the golden rule of success.
Train and develop their team, building confidence and pride in their skills, providing leadership outstanding. If you've done in a consistent and confident in their direction, then you win. You need to know each of their strengths and weaknesses and are placed in positions of their forces. It makes no sense to put someone in a situation that does not like or have no interest in proving a point.
Place them in a position favorable conditions to increase their knowledge and understanding of the situation as a whole is an excellent idea, but not when times are tough.
The golden rule is to treat your team with respect and dignity. If you like to intimidate or ridicule them, then you can survive under normal circumstances, but they leave you in times difficult because they feel he has abandoned every day.
They want to be responsible, respect, discipline and, especially, to be headed by a leader, not an ego with a personal goal.
Take your team to provide training and experience that gives them an opportunity to flourish. Let them know that if you follow his example will lead to a great future. The only thing Above all, that is, and will continue until the end of the world in terms favorable and unfavorable, and when they sincerely believe that he cares about them as individuals and as a team.
