What should I wear khaki pants and a tie with lime green shirt?
I go to a wedding in Hawaii and plan to use khaki pants and a shirt or lime green shirt and tie or a navy blue tie. I need connections between the ideas of color. Oh, and shoes in black or brown?
With both, you have some options. Black or brown shoes can go with khaki pants. Brown would follow as well, but black has the edge in dependability. Let the shoes match the belt. The lime green is certainly adventurous – perhaps too risky. I can not help thinking that would make a black belt and shoes sad face, while a brown belt and shoes unattractive. (My green shirt is a bit darker than the lime, with white stripes to give some relief from the green. Often coupled with a fabric loop brown with white pinstripes and orange blades.) Ultramarine, would be safer and probably better. Moreover, it offers a wide variety of options in ties – Pale gold, blue any shade of red, light pink even if you have the balls. Black belt and shoes.
