What are the benefits of using spiked shoes for track?
I run hurdles and wondered if it was worth the money for track shoes with nails. I've heard horror stories of people being trapped in their bills during the race. But the risk is worth it for the lightweight shoe? Thanks:)
Spikes make a big difference! They give you extra grip and light weight. I defiantly would recommend doing a bit, especially as a hurdler. When I arrived some time improved by about one second! (fences, but not sprint). Defiantly worth getting! You do not have to spend on expensive, though not-at least your really serious hurdles. If high school or county level then I would recommend How Nike Zoom Rival S, or the like. They really helped me! :] Also, do not worry about being trapped by their beaks while running, it's not a big deal and challenging peaks are worth! Good luck !!!!!!!!
