Is it permissible to celebrate Festivus on Saturday December 22nd this year since the 23rd falls on a Sunday?
Some people may have to work on the day after Festivus this year, since it is a Monday, and Festivus usually requires at least one day to recharge afterwards in order to carry on normal activities.
Of course! Festivus is the rejection of the traditional Holiday madness. In accordance with the spirit of Festivus, I encourage you to celebrate it on the day of your choosing. However, to channel the greatest quantity of Festivus Spirit, I recommend celebrating it within 7 days before or after Dec. 23.
