How accurate are golf simulators?
I was testing a driver in the Sports Authority and a man measures the speed of my swing with a gun media radar of 118 mph. He talked to me in a TaylorMade R5 with a stiff shaft because I had a strong swing. I never really hit the club and when I was in the store and was on a network so who knows how the shots were really. Today I went to Dick and his golf simulator measures my best swing at 102 miles per hour. He said the ball traveled 245 yards – which seems small compared to what I do on the range – but I wonder what the speed is more accurate. If only swing axis 102 is the correct drive? I was brandishing a Nike Sasquatch this time, but I doubt that a different club can cause this type of change in velocity. Also, I slice my TaylorMade quite often, but the simulator Sasquatch said the road was straight. How accurate is with that a little?
Duffman, is on the shaft. Do not talk to sales. Go to accredited instructor. Sports goods huge prick in Myrtle Beach is a great instructor, can not remember his name, but I saw it work with a scratch golfer for an hour. The hub was the issue main clubhead with more than a personal choice.
