Why do a lot of people associate music genres with race?

I go on trance videos on youtube and I see white power comments. How is trance white people music? It’s just music.
I heard a black guy today call a rock song cracker music. Someone should let you guys know Jimi Hendrix was one the best guitar players ever, Eminem is white and Tiger Woods is the best golfer. You get my point?
Or people say why is that white guy acting black?
He’s not acting black. He’s acting ghetto.
Ray. It shouldn’t surprise you. And I think many black people listen to rap because they think they have to. Because of society.
I’ve always wondered that myself.
A black friend of mine was called a “wannabe white girl” because she preferred heavy metal and classic rock over rap. She just didn’t care for it.
I listen to music ranging from classical music to hard rock/heavy metal and country to rap. As long as I like how the music sounds, I listen. If I don’t like it, I turn it off or change the station.
Music is music. You shouldn’t let your race define your musical tastes.
