Need advice: Full Day Tour service in Christchurch and Auckland.?
Dear friends, I think too many options for the entire service day Tour in Christchurch and Auckland. Could someone give me input that the operator should I choose? Sincerely, Erwin
Hi Erwin. I have spent much time in both cities. My recommendation is 'no' to tour but to see every city on foot alone. If you find a guide or Lonely Planet guide general local library will have information about the highlights in both areas. Cities are then easily seen on foot or by local bus. Christchurch Highlights – The Arts Center and Museum, Botanical Gardens, Regent Street, Cathedral Square (the center and also the location of the training center for Free maps, etc) The historic Christchurch tram links all these places and a day ticket allows up and down. Many people also as the center of Antarctica a little more for the airport – which could go see this museum on your way back to the airport – alteernatively there an airport bus that riding this route so its also easy to reach. For something different take a local bus (the bus Lyttelton) and ask the driver to stop at the nacelle (the is a cable car and give good views of the Christchurch area and a great opportunity to walk in the Port Hills), Auckland is a city much work and not many places interest to actually see (I'm sure Auckland many will not agree though!) Kelly Tarltons You can visit the Aquarium, sit and drink coffee in the neighborhood od charming Ponsonby or Parnell or simply spend time shopping along Queen Street. Personally I like the modern viaduct 'area down at the pier. For something a little different to take a bus to Mt Eden and climb to the summit of a volcano of age (not as afraid as it sounds) with excellent views over the Auckland area.
