Why are not tour New Zealand and Argentina AUS?
Obviously, with the Lions Tour no pre-heating tri-nations against nations of origin of the equipment. So we'll have enough out of shape with France and Italy. Why not Argentina? toured in 1997. I sincerely believe that would be as competitive as more competitive than France and Italy. And as a viewer, I prefer their brand of rugby. They do not get many cracks in the All Blacks can beat us. Is it to do with TV revenue? I know this is all planned beforehand, but certainly a tour of the Pumas made sense, even before the WRC07.
Good question. I think he has a major TV revenues WRT track. Although rugby is played with great passion and skill in Argentina, is within a fraction Very little of the general population. The income of Argentina for televised sport are strongly committed to football and less developed than a bit cramped, basketball. The basis for generating huge television revenues in Argentina does not exist. Furthermore, there is a significant ex-pat community ARG in New Zealand and ARG, and because they have resisted SANZAR ARG, no traditional rivalry, so the argument of TV is not strong enough there. UAR does not have the resources (nor the organizers of experience or money) to organize effectively. Therefore, the overwhelming majority of their top players play abroad (FRA and ENG), and have not advanced actually penetrate the SANZAR monopoly on big-time professional rugby in the SH. This is a great shame, IMO, like finding their rugby to be entertaining and clever (not least in the front). Finally, I believe that all Argentine professionals who have been working through all season NH is looking forward to the opportunity to return home for a little rest. You can see the B & I Lions, perhaps the NZ Maori game if they fall, and then relax with a Tri-Nations.
