Is it acceptable to have an engagement ring in white gold and a silver wedding ring?
The engagement ring would be white gold solitaire cushion 1.5K court, and the silver wedding ring is yellow gold around the ring. Can you mix silver and white gold highlights too? Thank you. Our wedding bands party. We saw an Arts Festival and really liked them. I have not bought yet. I was thinking about going white gold all the way until we saw these rings. Just concerned the mixture of metals.
Silver is a softer metal than white gold so if she plans on bringing the two together, there is a risk that the white gold (which is an alloy yellow gold and other metals) damage a silver, white gold because it is more difficult. What I do is that the silver ring to wear when you want to use only one wedding ring … and a white gold ring for use when one wants to take his two solo and his wedding band …… many women (myself included) have several bands that change out depending on where you go and what they are doing …. .. Be careful on the silver rings, Tho …. that touch of gold can be Vermeil, a thin layer of gold that always disappears in time …. can achieve the same look with bands that are white and yellow gold. As for the mixture of metals, why not? Those who are too anal poop or metal / jewelry snobs ….. I have two platinum and diamond eternity band matching that often one of my sandwich between the lonely, including yellow gold, gold seems IMO.Most Sharp is now rhodium plated white so doesn; not even seem real, but of sterling silver white gold white gold is a real fine silver and light gray, not the brightness of mirror natural target for silver. Not even the characteristic sparkle beige to silver. So if you occasionally use the solo with the band of sterling will not be a damage question … and the rings will look good together.
