I'll be snowboarding for the first time over Christmas and need to know about the clothes I need.?
I have some hiking / cycling clothing of the MEC, which I hope it works, but I'm sure I'll have to snowboard pants or if I can go buy a shell for my layers above. Do not want to invest much money right now. I'll be at the track for 3 days (and will take a lesson). Here is a list of my winter wardrobe. I've been hot so far in the cycling winter-15C with my layers. I'm fine for headgear, gloves, scarf and socks. Power-Midweight Base Layer Long Johns and dry long sleeve shirt, short sleeves zip and long sleeves. Comfortable, warm and moisture-absorbing intermediate layer thermal sweatshirt long sleeve Jersey cadence (usually carry one of these shirts over my base layer underneath the jacket and cycling and I'm roasting hot)-trek-trek pants polar fleece vest other MEC Columbia down jacket with heavy wool jacket barrier cyclone wind-screens and bang cycling jacket (great for cycling, but I doubt they'll be useful) Thanks!
The most important thing you need is waterproof pants who spend much time sitting and once it gets wet is miserable
